Student Corey McFadzean may not look great in a short skirt but he does have the muscles to lift buckets of cookies.
The 22-year-old Otago University student of Carterton farming stock, is wandering Wairarapa streets and businesses selling buckets of Cookie Time Christmas Cookies in the lead up to Christmas.
He admits to being the first guy to sell the sweet treats in Wairarapa but isn't at all perturbed.
"I can't wear short shirts and tight tops like the girls but I do have half-pie muscles," he joked.
This student is unable to work on the family farm these holidays after breaking his wrist playing rugby a few months back so took on selling the treats.
"There isn't much a guy with one arm can do. I'm just glad to be working."
Completing a double degree in commerce and physical education, Mr McFadzean said selling cookies was a good way for students to not only earn much-needed cash but learn about running a business.
"It's a good opportunity for students to learn entrepreneurial skills like ordering stock, delivering and marketing your goods," he said.
What he likes most about being involved in Cookie Time is that last year it gave $50,000 to charities.
He has 21,000 orders already signed up and has 4000 buckets to sell before Christmas. The mini biscuits come in three flavours - chocolate chippie, cranberry and white chocolate and apricot and chocolate.
