A New Lynn woman has complained to the Civil Aviation Authority that the Fokker Friendship used to spray the painted apple moth has been flying too low.
Zelda Wynn has sent two photographs of the plane with her complaint about a flight on December 20.
The Fokker Friendship operated by the Ministry
of Agriculture and Forestry is allowed to descend to 45m.
But Mrs Wynn believes the aircraft in her photographs is much lower.
"It's absolutely horrific. I'm not easily scared but I am plain jumpy over this thing," she said.
"At that height, if anything went wrong a plane that size could not possibly find a place to land."
A spokesman for the authority said it was policy not to reveal whether complaints had been laid.
