Oysters thrown on concrete, slurped off a belly button and sucked from the toe of a shoe.
These are some of the ways oysters were eaten during the Most Disgusting Way to Eat an Oyster competition at last year's Oyster Feastival.
Now punters will have the chance to see ifthey can find a more disgusting way of eating oysters as the event is back again tomorrow.
The Oyster Feastival is held by the organisers of The Old Packhouse Market to celebrate the market's second birthday. Organiser Judy Hyland said last year's event was a huge success.
"It went really well. We had a couple of oyster eating competitions including the Most Disgusting Way to Eat an Oyster. The man who won splattered it on the concrete floor and ate it, one lady sucked it out of the toe of her shoe and another slurped it off his girlfriend's belly button," she said.
"It's lots of fun. It's a real community meeting place and we have free community stalls for fundraising," she said.
Ms Hyland said tomorrow there would be prize draws, helicopter rides, stallholder sales, pony rides, Mike the Magician and fun competitions and giveaways. The market is on 505 Kerikeri Rd. For more information visit www.facebook.com/theoldpackhousemarket/
