A two-car smash at the corner of Cornwall Rd and SH2 in Waingawa is a timely reminder for drivers to be patient at intersections, police say.
Police said the two cars collided when the driver of a north-bound ute "mistimed" a turn into Cornwall Rd after becoming unnerved by alogging truck turning into Norfolk Rd.
The driver of a south-bound Holden Barina was forced to take evasive action to avoid the ute, clipping it in the process.
Two ambulances and one appliance from the Masterton Fire Brigade attended the scene.
