Save Two South African climbers have been rescued from the Mount Cook National Park after a freezing night on the mountain.
The couple had become lost near Mount Rosa because of heavy snowfall yesterday.
A Rescue Coordination Centre spokeswoman says the couple used a locator beacon today, and were lifted to
safety about two this afternoon.
They were slightly hypothermic but didn't need medical attention.
