Clark on defence visit to Middle East

Prime Minister Helen Clark will spend the rest of the week visiting New Zealand Defence Force personnel in the Middle East.

Secretary of Defence Graham Fortune and Chief of Defence Force Air Marshal Bruce Ferguson will travel with her.

For security reasons no details of her visit will be released in advance.

Helen Clark said she would report to the Cabinet and the public when she returned. Parliament is in recess until November 4.
