Christmas Day weather - settled for most of NZ

There's good news for those of us planning outdoor activities on Christmas Day.

MetService is predicting warmer and settled weather to set in from today and last for about a week.

Spokesman Bob McDavitt says the atmosphere's Christmas present to New Zealand is an anticyclone.

He says daytime temperatures are likely to be in the 20s.
