A person has died after falling down a cliff while hunting in the South Island’s Golden Bay area.
Police said emergency services were called to farmland in Motupipi at about 6.30pm on Saturday.
“Sadly, despite best efforts of emergency services, the person died at the scene,” police said today.
“Our thoughts are with their family and friends during this time.”
