Christchurch police investigate death of baby boy at hospital

The death of an 11-day-old baby in Christchurch Women's Hospital has sparked a police investigation.
Detective Senior Sergeant David Harvey said the baby boy died late yesterday afternoon.
The death had been referred to the coroner, and the pregnancy, labour, birth and care of the infant were to
be examined, he said.
Police were working with the hospital and the baby's family.
Police are not seeking any witnesses regarding the investigation.
