Save A Christchurch mall has been evacuated after a fire in a commercial oven.
The alarms went off at The Hub Hornby just before 4pm.
Fire Service shift manager Riwai Grace says three appliances are at the scene.
"The building is very heavily smoke logged and has been evacuated," he says.
"The fire service is trying to extinguish the blaze at the moment."
