Two people are being flown to hospital after a rubbish truck and ute collided in the main street of Waihi this morning.
The crash happened on Kenny St just after 8am injuring a child and adult inside the ute, said Fire Service northern shift manager Jaron Phillips.
No one was
trapped in the crash but a seriously injured 10-year-old child and the adult were being flown by rescue helicopter to Waikato Hospital.
A section of Kenny St, which is also SH25, is now closed.
