A child is in a serious condition after being hit by a vehicle in Papakura.
A police spokesman said the child had been taken to Middlemore Hospital.
Police were called to Elliot St about 1.30pm, he said.
There was a small cordon in place, affecting Great South Rd and East
St, he said.
The Serious Crash Unit remained on the scene, he said.
