Child in serious condition after being hit by train at Meadowbank Station

A child is in a serious condition after being clipped by a train in Auckland.

Emergency crews were called to Meadowbank Station just after 5pm, and the child was taken to Starship Hospital.

A police spokesperson said they were notified of the incident around 5pm.

"Police are working to obtain CCTV footage to help determine the circumstances around what happened," they said.
