Mr Till said the reason he created the book was because he heard people threw away 20 per cent of the food they buy, so he wanted to help people cut down.
"A lot of people don't like to eat leftovers when it's just reheated stuff, so it turns it into something else which is good. [The recipes] are simple and easy to make and appeal to a broad range of tastes," he said.
His favourite dish from the book was leek and blue cheese crumble, but said it changed every day.
"That's just the first thing that came to mind. I've eaten everything that's in there so it's hard to pick one. I'm sure it's the same for everyone, no body wants to eat the same thing every day, do they?"
He enjoyed visiting the Wairarapa and the people he knew here, and was looking forward to meeting some more locals.
"It's a lovely place to come. It's a nice part of the country, I'm very happy to be here and I'm looking forward to meeting some people," Mr Till said.
