Chartwell house fire: Person dies in hospital after blaze

Emergency services went to the house fire on Saturday.

A person critically injured in an early morning Chartwell house blaze has died.

On Saturday about 3am, emergency services responded to the Belmont Ave fire.

Two people in critical conditions were taken to hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.

One person has now died, with their death being referred to the Coroner.

The fire is being investigated.
