A Dunedin man who allegedly attacked two police officers with a chainsaw has been remanded in custody until Friday.
In Dunedin District Court yesterday, Peter Carr, 40, faced two charges of assault with a weapon, wilful damage and escaping from custody. He entered no plea.
Policesay Carr attacked the officers with the chainsaw on Saturday when they tried to arrest him for breaching bail conditions.
