CCTV footage released of aggravated robbery

Police have released CCTV footage of the second aggravated robbery in Glenfield in a week.

The robbery occurred on Wednesday night at Thirsty Liquor Glenfield on the corner of Chivalry Road and Diana Drive.

Police said the owner was sitting behind the counter when the man, armed with a long knife, threatened her with the knife and demanded money.

She complied with the offender and he fled the scene.

The offender fits the description of an offender involved in a similar aggravated robbery at the Harbour City Liquor Store on View Road in Glenfield on Sunday.

In the earlier incident the offender threatened the employee with a knife, demanded money and then left the scene.

Detective Kelly Farrant said: "The footage speaks for itself and the victim has done very well to stay calm and hand over the money.

"We're very keen to prevent any further offending and if anyone knows who this is, please get in touch with us."

The offender is described as caucasian, 180 cm tall, aged between 20 and 30, of a slim build with short blond facial hair.
