A man has been arrested after cash, drugs, a vehicle and an $8000 watch were seized in a Hutt Valley police raid.
Last Thursday the Wellington Gang Disruption Unit and the Offender Prevention Team charged a 38-year-old man in relation to Operation Cinderella.
Detective Sergeant Vincent Smylie said about$19,000 in cash was seized as well as 70g of methamphetamine, 35g of cannabis, 18g of MDMA, and 450ml of GBL.
Police also found an $8000 watch and impounded a vehicle.
The man appeared in Hutt Valley District Court on multiple drug and drug supply offences, Smylie said.
He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear later in February.
“Police work hard to disrupt the supply of illicit drugs as we see first-hand the serious impacts and harm these illicit drugs have on our communities every day,” Smylie said.
“Police will continue to target those who supply illicit drugs, which cause extreme harm and damage to our communities.”
Smylie said anyone with information about the supply of illicit drugs should contact police on 105.
Information can also be reported to local police stations or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 0800 555 111.
