A Carterton craft group has spent months knitting and crocheting the 600 poppies which are now on display at the Carterton Events Centre.
Julie Ward said the group wanted to make the poppies to honour the brave, gallant and heroic deeds of the men and women who went to warfor their country. The thread and wool used was donated by members of the group.
