Carterton booze ban moves closer

A proposed liquor ban in the carterton CBD was prompted by a police submission.

Carterton District Council has voted to proceed with the proposed liquor ban for Carterton's CBD.

The move was prompted by a police submission outlining problems and anti-social behaviour in the CBD due to intoxication.

The proposal will be publicly notified on October 1, and submissions invited.
