Carisbrook Stadium will be sold before Christmas.
Dunedin's former premier sporting stadium hosted its last match of note in August last year, and has been closed since.
Dunedin City Council city property manager Robert Clark says the council's in talks with two prospective buyers.
A portion of the carpark site
across from the stadium has already been sold.
Mr Clark says it's likely Carisbrook will be used for industrial purposes.
