A caravan has rolled over and crashed on a motorway today.

The caravan rolled near the Schiska Rd intersection with State Highway 1 near Kaiwaka, Northland, about 62km south of Whangarei.

Police said a tow truck arrived on the scene at about 11.25am to remove the caravan.
