A car has smashed into a shop in Dunedin this morning.
The vehicle crashed into Spotlight on Cumberland St at 1.50am.
Senior sergeant Craig Brown said the car, driven by a 26-year-old man, had "taken a bit of stuff with it".
"It's an older building, and the crash has caused
extensive damage to both the building and vehicle."
The single occupant of the car was not seriously injured.
