A car has hit and knocked over a power pole, closing a road in Auckland.

Glencoe Rd in Browns Bay, Auckland is closed for about two hours after a car hit the pole about 7pm.

Motorists are asked to take alternative routes, and follow the directions of officers and signs in the area.
