Car hits child in Bay of Plenty

Save A child has been hit by a car in Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services were called to an address in Mamaku, near Rotorua, shortly after 3.30pm.
The child was transported to Rotorua Hospital in a moderate condition, a St John spokeswoman said.
A police spokeswoman said the child came out
of a driveway on a bike and was clipped by an oncoming car.
She said the injuries were not serious.
