All lanes on a key Northwestern Motorway onramp are now open after a car fire this morning.
However, motorists in the area are advised to expect ongoing delays.
The New Zealand Transport Agency earlier warned motorists to avoid using the Great North Rd onramp near Western Springs heading into thecity after an engine burst into flames.
Two of three lanes were blocked off for some time but the vehicle was removed just before 8am.
Due to a car fire on the Great North Road eastbound onramp (towards the CBD), the right and centre lanes have temporarily been blocked. Avoid the area if possible and take extra care. ^JF pic.twitter.com/MkqPc5MK2C
