Car fire backs up traffic in Auckland Southern Motorway

Traffic on the Southern Motorway in Auckland was badly backed up this afternoon after a car fire.

The incident happened about 1pm in the northbound lane of the Papakura off-ramp, causing a traffic snarl up. Nobody was injured.

A photo posted in a local Facebook community group apparently shows the incident. A white car pulled over to the shoulder is well ablaze.
