A woman was seriously injured after the car she was driving ploughed through a fence and into a tree in Thames.
Fire and Emergency northern communications shift manager Colin Underdown said the crash happened near the intersection of Parawai Rd and The Booms Ave about 6pm yesterday.
The car appearedto have travelled through an intersection before hitting the fence and tree.
The woman was airlifted to Waikato Hospital, he said.
