Car crashes into pole in Cambridge, one seriously injured

A person has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after a car crashed into a pole in Cambridge this morning.

The crash happened at about 7.35am when the car hit a pole on Cambridge Rd near State Highway 1.

St John ambulance tweeted one person was taken to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.

A police spokesman said a person was trapped inside the wrecked car before being freed and taken to hospital for treatment.
