Car collides with trees, three people hospitalised

Save A Westport man has been airlifted to Nelson Hospital after the car he was a passenger in collided with a row of trees this morning.
The car left the road in the Riwaka area, near Motueka about 6.24am, a police spokesman said.
Three people were taken to hospital, including a
31-year-old man who was flown to hospital in the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter.
The driver and another passenger were treated at the scene and then taken to Nelson Hospital in an ambulance.
