Caltex to raise fuel prices

Caltex is to raise its petrol and diesel prices by 4 cents from 9 pm tonight.

A litre of regular petrol will cost 117.9c. A litre of premium will cost 122.9c and diesel will cost 78.9c per litre.

Caltex blames increased costs and the "continuing volatility" of the New Zealand dollar for the price rises.

As yet, none of the other major oil companies have announced plans to follow suit.
