Organisers of the inaugural Oversew Fashion Awards last year want to build a team of enthusiastic volunteers for the 2014 event.
Coordinator Robyn Cherry-Campbell said last year's show resulted in a sell-out awards evening showcasing 32 designs.
These awards promote "upcycled" fashion by recognising talented emerging designers who recreate, revampand redesign pre-loved clothing into a sustainable fashion item or outfit.
Next year's event will be on May 24. "We are a dedicated, professional group of volunteers who are committed to seeing the event through from early planning to the awards night and beyond.
"If you think you might want to be a part of our team, come along and find out more.
"At this stage, we are primarily looking for executive committee members and support crew to help with planning and organising the event - early next year we will be looking for casual volunteers to give a few hours of their time here and there to see us through model auditions and helping on the big night."
Her team is holding an information evening next week and interested people are welcome.
"If you have expertise in fashion, design, technology, administration, social media, marketing and communications, event management, or are just passionate about volunteering to help establish this competition as a regular event, please come along, have some refreshments, ask some questions, and listen to what we have to offer."
