Calendar finishes with Champions competition

The final event in the Bowls Wairarapa calendar was held on April 13-14 at Greytown Bowling Club.

The Champion of Champions junior pairs and singles competition is for players with five years or less experience.

In the women's pairs section, Teresa Hogg and Shirley Poutu from Featherston beat Bev Bryant and Fiona Mancer from Eketahuna.

In the men's pairs, Richard Anderson and Scott MacKenzie from Masterton beat Evan Morch and Dave Sadler from Greytown.

In the singles, Sharon Pittard from Martinborough beat Joan Ward, a first-year player from Lansdowne.

In the men's singles, Steve Willis from Greytown beat Scott MacKenzie from Masterton by one shot.
