Over the school holidays, DoC offered up a $10 bounty for every great white bought into its Nelson office.
Over the two weeks hunters bought in more than 130 butterflies
into DoC.
Project manager, Bruce Vander Lee says some families worked really well together.
He says one family managed to pocket $80 after brining in eight butterflies.
