Businessman in court on child sex charges

A 57-year-old Horowhenua businessman has appeared in Levin District Court on child sex charges.
The man, whose name cannot be revealed to protect the victim, was remanded in custody at his appearance yesterday until August 29.
Sergeant Maryanne Whitfield said the man faced two charges of sexual assault relating to
incidents that took place in 2006 and 2007.
She said investigation is ongoing and more charges may be laid at a later date.
