Bus crash victim 'steady'

Bus crash victim Sheetal Chand is still critical, but doctors are pleased her condition is "steady".

Her father Rakesh told the Herald the family was staying positive as she was not deteriorating.

The 15-year-old Auckland Girls' Grammar student was struck by a bus on Tuesday morning while crossing Penrose Road in Mt Wellington.

The bus driver has been stood down while police conduct their inquiry.
