A number of flats on Auckland's North Shore have been flooded after a water transmission main burst.

A burst water transmission main on Auckland's North Shore has been isolated and an electrician is assessing damage to nearby flats.
The main near Greenslade Reserve on Lake Rd in Northcote burst about 8am.
A spokeswoman for Watercare, the Auckland Council's wastewater arm, said water landed on the roofs ofseveral nearby homes.
The break was shut off about three hours later.
An electrician had been called in to assess the damage and insurers were on the way.
