A man has been arrested on meth charges after a fire at a $1.6m home in Milford. Photo / Greg Bowker
A 49-year-old man faces six methamphetamine charges after a fire on Auckland's North Shore yesterday afternoon.
The man was burned following the fire at home on Inga Road in Milford which according to public records has a valuation of $1.65 million, has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a floor areaof 231 m sq.

A man has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession for supply of methamphetamine, possession of equipment, possession of equipment, possession of precursors, possession of materials and criminal nuisance.
A bedside hearing will be held at Middlemore Hospital where the man has been treated for burns.
Police said they had no more comment as the matter was before the courts.

Emergency services were called to the scene after smoke was seen coming from a garage.

Police and a member of the public who tried to help put the fire out have had to be decontaminated using a specialist Fire Service decontamination unit.
The arrested man had burns to his hands and arms and has been taken to North Shore Hospital for treatment.
A dog at the property was unwell and had been taken by Animal Control for treatment.
