Buller rate rises country's highest

Buller ratepayers face the highest residential rate rise in the country this year, Department of Internal Affairs figures show.

Buller District Council's rate take is up 21.4 per cent on last year, the highest of the country's 73 territorial authorities. The average increase of authorities surveyed is 9 per cent.
