A 20-year-old man is in a critical condition after falling nine storeys at work on a central Auckland construction site.
The man was taken to Auckland Hospital after the fall at the new AUT building on Mayoral Drive about 1pm today.
He is believed to have been working at the
site for about a month.
The man had been working on 12th floor and fell to the third floor, where he landed by a skip with a lot of metal and scaffolding around.
People who had been working with the man were "quite shocked", according to a family member of one building site worker.
