There's been a breakthrough in the search for a woman who was forced into a car by a man in Auckland.
Auckland police have located the silver Ford Falcon after asking for help from the public yesterday.
The abduction happened on Tuesday morning, when witnesses in the central suburb of
Newmarket saw the woman violently shoved into the car by a man.
Police are still searching for the woman, who is described as being of a medium athletic build and approximately 165cm tall.
Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Baldwin says police believe the two people know each other, but the circumstances are alarming.
