Boy suffers serious burns

A Southland boy has been taken to hospital in serious condition after being burned by hot water.

A St John Ambulance said they were called to the incident at a private residence in Tinkertown near Ohai shortly after 6.30pm.

The boy was transported to Invercargill Hospital.
