Boy injured in towing accident

A 12-year-old boy has been treated in hospital after falling off a board being towed by a vehicle on a Wairarapa beach yesterday.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Castlepoint Beach about 3.35pm after the fell from the board while the vehicle was moving at a slow speed.

The boy was taken to Wairarapa Hospital where he was treated for a broken collarbone.
