Sergeant Kevin Basher said the joint alcohol licensing operation partnered Wairarapa police with district licensing agencies in the region and the Wairarapa District Health Board.
A recent police sting in Wairarapa failed to catch out any licensed premises for selling alcohol to minors.
Sergeant Kevin Basher said the joint operation between Wairarapa police, the Masterton, Carterton and South Wairarapa District licensing agencies and the Wairarapa District Health Board was run last Friday night.
Two volunteers
aged under 18 visited a number of premises in Wairarapa to test the systems the venues had in place to ensure alcohol was not sold to minors.
Mr Basher said the outcome had been a "pleasing result".
This month one Masterton pub was caught in a similar sting, selling alcohol to two 17-year-olds.
