Bomb scare evacuates Wellington city block

A entire city block has been evacuated and the Wellington District Court is in lockdown because of a bomb scare.

Police say a suspicious package was found leading against a building on Ballance St, just off Lambton Quay, about 8.30am.

Police are stopping people at all corners.

Sniffer dogs are expected to sweep the area before the cordons willbe lifted.
