A bombs scare at the Devonport Naval Base saw roads cordoned off this morning.
However, emergency services were stood down about 10am.
A Defence Force spokeswoman said a suspicious package caused alarm about 9.55am, but the owner of the package was then located and the situation resolved about 10 minuteslater.
Huia St in Devonport, near the naval base, was cordoned off.
