The body of a 53-year-old man reported missing from a 3-day tramp in the Kaikoura Seaward Ranges has been found this morning, police say.
The local, who was walking alone, appears to have fallen 300 metres while negotiating rocky terrain along the Surveyor Spur, said Sergeant Julian Lewis from Kaikoura
