A body recovered from Waikato River yesterday has been identified as that of missing Hamilton man Nicholas 'Tommy' Atkins.
Mr Atkins, 35, had not been seen since walking out of his suburban Fairview Downs home in the early hours of July 30.
His family found some of his clothes on
the banks of the river the following day and police began searching the river.
The truck driver's body was found submerged between the eastern bank and the first pillar of the Fairfield Bridge shortly before 11am yesterday.
