Body found in Rotorua hot pool identified

Police have named the man whose body was found in a hot pool in Rotorua this week.

He was 67-year-old Kerry Hern.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, Rotorua Police said.

Detective Sergeant Richard Lang said it was a hard time for Mr Hern's family.

Police were working with the family and victim support services had been offered to them, he said.

"Mr Hern's family have lost someone special to them, so ask that public and the media respect their privacy at this time."

The death has been referred to the coroner.
