Body found at Timaru beach identified

Save Police have confirmed the body found on a Timaru beach today is that of missing local woman Shelley Lurajud.
The body was found at 11am on Waimataitai Beach by searchers looking for Ms Lurajud, who was severely sight and hearing impaired.
She had been last seen at about 3.10pm in
Campbell St, Timaru on Tuesday.
A post mortem will be conducted in Christchurch tomorrow, police said.
Police are now investigating on behalf of the Coroner and are not looking for anyone else.
